Bring your child to the library to read aloud to a quiet, friendly dog. Each dog is attended by an adult volunteer, and both are trained and licensed by Therapy Dogs, Inc. Children who read to the dogs can earn a book of their choice from our collection of books provided by the Friends of the Fair Oaks Library. And for our December program, we are encouraging participants to come in their pajamas!

NEVERMORE: THE RAVEN HALLOWEEN BANNER @ FAIR OAKS

In this celebration of the spooky season, kids will be introduced to Poe and one of his most famous works, The Raven. After the reading of the Poe, participants will be invited to create a raven inspired Halloween banner using paints, fabric feathers, stencils and more. This event is part of One Book Sacramento: the works of Edgar Allan Poe.
