Carmichael Native Studied in London

A Carmichael native who attends the University of San Diego studied in London prior to the , school officials announced.

Keira Nocetti, who attended St. Francis High School and is in the USD Class of 2015, was in England from June 14 to July 7.

While immersed in the rich and complex culture of London, students were able to watch the city as it prepared for the , according to a news release. Many of the faculty used the Olympics as a context for examining the subject being taught. Courses combined classroom study with field trips, visits to theatres, museums and cathedrals and guest speakers drawn from the rich world of British scholarly and cultural life.

Nocetti is on the Toreros' rowing team at San Diego.
