Jesuit Alum Frey Drafted By Chicago Bears

Cornerback played at Nevada.

With a sixth round pick in the 2012 NFL Draft Saturday, the Chicago Bears selected alum .

"God is good!!!," Frey wrote on Twitter. "I appreciate everyones support! It means a lot! Excited to be apart of the Bears organization! Windy city it is!"

At Jesuit, Frey played under longtime coach , who recently announced his departure for rival Christian Brothers. Frey was a defensive back at Nevada in Reno.

"Frey gives the Bears an athletic corner with athleticism and quickness," analyst Bucky Brooks wrote on NFL.com. "He is ideally suited to play in a two-deep scheme and will have a chance to make the roster as a sub defender."

Frey will be a teammate in Chicago of of Elk Grove who holds an annual youth football camp at American River College.
