Rate Your District: San Juan Unified Releases Annual Survey

Will school officials hear your constructive criticism?

San Juan Unified School District officials want to know what you think is going right, wrong and either way within the district.

It's why they've released their annual district survey.

The survey is broken down into a number of specific criteria, which functions on a number of different levels, according to district officials:

The Assessment, Evaluation and Planning Dept. facilitates implementation of the Strategic Plan by providing thoughtful, directed, specific data and supports to teachers, school sites, district departments, parents and community members.

Primary functions include:

  • coordination of State and Federally mandated tests and reporting of public data.
  • analysis of the effectiveness of programs undertaken by the district.
  • providing leadership in professional learning around the use of data and the development of assessment tools for all levels of administration.
  • increasing funding through grant writing consistent with the Strategic Plan and school site plans.
  • support of district and school-site strategic planning process.

Results will be reviewed and published sometime in June 2013.
