Readers Choice: Recommended Preschool in Carmichael?

Voting ends 9 a.m. Friday.

Here's our second contest in our new Readers' Choice series. This time we ask you to tell us your recommended preschool in Carmichael.

Poll votes, stars and reviews, and comments below this piece all will factor in to our selection, to be announced Friday.

Click on the links above to rate a business on its Patch Places listing. You can even leave a review.

Scroll down to take the poll.

If there is another beloved Carmichael preschool we missed, start a write-in campaign in the comments section below. In the event of a tie, we will break it based on the comments, so please explain your choice.

The poll opens at 5 a.m. Monday and closes at 9 a.m. Friday. Come back later that day for the results.

(Because our poll is not scientific, it is not the sole consideration in choosing a winner. The winner will be determined by the Patch editor, based on poll results, comments and reviews on Patch Places. Please vote only once per survey.)

Please note that Amerimont Academy is no longer in business. It was sold, became Carmichael Montessori Academy, which flooded, and closed its doors...

Thanks Eric. I've marked the business as closed and removed it from this poll.

The Phoenix School on Walnut and Marconi offers pre-school, don't they? And that would be my choice...as 2 of my children went through that facility.

Hi Kirsten, thanks. The Phoenix School had escaped me but I've added it above. Please vote and leave a review and tell fellow parents whose kids went there to do the same. Readers, if you've voted for El Rancho School, please tell us why with a comment and review.

Our Grandson attends El Rancho School and we feel he is getting superior preparation for Kindergarten and beyond. Children attending the preschool will be reading by the time they move on to kindergarten. The staff really work with the children and parents to achieve the best results for the child. You can tell it is a loving and caring environment that takes pride in the children's achievements.

Victory Christian does not offer preschool. They are K-12.

Thanks Karen. Please invite other El Rancho grandparents and parents to vote and leave a comment and review for the school.

Thanks Julia. I've edited our directory listing for VCS and removed it from this poll. Got any thoughts on any of the above schools or know someone who does?

My children attend St. Michael's Episcopal Day School. It has been an outstanding experience and we are not a parish school, so no problem if you are not Episcopal. We have a preschool open house on April 25th at 8:15am if any of your readers want to come and see our great program. Thanks

We are so glad that we listened to our neighbor by sending our 3 year-old son to Carmichael Presbyterian Preschool. Our son is always excited going to school, and he is in such a happy mood when he comes home. In addition, his language and social skills have developed greatly. The school staff are very loving and nurturing. The teachers teach the children to listen, follow directions, sharing, have good manners, and to wait for their turn through open-play, music, art, dance, and cooking. One of my favorite parts about the program is a low child-teacher ratio. We feel that our son is receiving an excellent experience and appropriate skills that prepare him to enter kindergarten when he turns five. It is a wonderful preschool program.
