’ junior and senior high school students fanned out across the region last week to help several parks in both Carmichael and Sacramento get ready for summer.
Braving the rain on Wednesday, the students worked at painting curbs, spreading bark and picking up garbage. At Carmichael’s the junior high students worked to ready the space for cultivation. Park maintenance workers were delighted with the amount of work that was accomplished.
Victorys’ high school students powered through the drizzle at both McKinley Park and William Land Park in Sacramento. The park managers had the students beautifying the parks by picking up trash, raking leaves, and clearing gutters. At William Land Park, the students also cleared the debris from around the pond leaving the area clean for city residents to enjoy.
