Paul Martinez, the former Rosemont High School athletic director and baseball coach was hired as the Cougars' new skipper, The Sacramento Bee reported.

Martinez was Rosemont's first baseball coach and won his 100th game at the school in March. He, saying he wanted to spend more time with his family, and resigned this past season as Rosemont's baseball coach in frustration after the Sacramento City Unified School District cut all athletic funding.
