Carmichael is in the running to have News 10 meteorologist Monica Woods come to to broadcast her weather forecast live from the first Movie in the Park night of the summer.
All you have to do is vote by 5 p.m. today here and Woods could be reporting from Carmichael before the film "Dolphin Tale" begins at sundown.
Carmichael is competing against the Raley Field Brewfest in West Sacramento and the Pow Wow Days Town Fair in Orangevale. As of this morning, Carmichael had more than 6,700 votes compared to 2260 for Orangevale and 18 for West Sac.
