It's Fathers Day weekend. Here are some events and programs in the Carmichael area through Saturday.

TODAY

-On the third Friday of each month at 6:30 p.m., the will invite a to talk about various natural subjects, from preservation and water efficiency to venomous animals and butterflies. Tonight, Kate Marden speaks on falconry, "the sport of kings." Pre-registration is encouraged. Recommended for ages 10 and up.

-The hosts a Father-Daughter Dance from 7 to 9 p.m. at the . $5 per person. All ages welcome. DJ music, games, prizes and refreshments.

SATURDAY

Bring your good used resellable items and clothing as well. Used items will be sold by R Thrift and the monies used to help save .
