Map: Where Fires Are Burning in California
A live snapshot of where fires are burning throughout the state.
Hundreds of thousands of acres are burning in California right now, most notably in Yosemite, where the Rim Fire has consumed more than 143,000 acres and was only 7 percent contained as of Monday morning.
In the Sacramento area, the American Fire in Tahoe has been burning since Aug. 10. As if Sunday morning, it was estimated at more than 24,000 acres and 78 percent contained, according to the Tahoe Daily Tribune.
